Billet-aluminum rear control-arms for Gen 4 SHO PPs?

The rear control-arms on my 2003 Mercury Marauder were made of stamped-metal. I tore up my right-rear control-arm on the Marauder at about 50K miles—it was completely destroyed. I bought some Metco billet-aluminum control-arms to replace them which were considerably more substantial.

• Does anyone make upgraded front and/or rear control-arms for Gen4 PPs?
• Are the Gen4 PP control-arms also made of stamped-metal?
• Has anyone's Gen4 rear control-arms failed?

Remember, even though the 3.5 is a great engine, everything attached doesn't have a large aftermarket. Remember it is still a Taurus, which isn't known for performance, and the SHO is a niche community within that. So a lot of aftermarket support for other platforms just doesn't exist for ours.

Thanks! Good to know no failures. Yes, similar to the Marauder, another fairly niche vehicle. Basically a re-branded Grand Marquis but with the Mustang Mach I/Aviator engine, a DOHC 4.6L V8. A very enthusiastic owner-community generated one homemade set of welded tubular-steel control-arms sold on the forum and one real company made the billet arms (Metco).

I have thought about the concept before. Less unspring weight as well.
