well got every thing cleaned up n got tags on the 95,took her out for a few hrs n noticed it,s leaking oil heavily on the firewall side head(#2 head?) looks like it has been doin it for awhile cause the tranny n oil pans are coated pretty thick. My question is does the valve covers loosen up with age n mileage (she has 186,000) or is there a common issue here?i did notice the oil pressure sending unit weeping and did purchase a new one .my bud buzz said his 92 did something like this n all he did was tighten the valve cover up some, suggestions please

with all the hot/cold cycles, the rubber VC gaskets dry out & become brittle & no longer expand & therefore leak. You can not just tighten the VC's down unless they were not torqued right to begin with, the VC bolts have a stop on them. Do you have oil in the plug wells?? It could also be the cam seals leaking too.
