Has anybody done this and had any issues? I want to inspect the motors that move the seats as they seem weak. Seems like just unbolting the rails and disconnecting the wiring.
Thanks

Yup, simple as that.
It usually works out well as the bolt size is correct and you never break anything off.
You have to move the seat around to get at the front bolts and back nuts, so disconnect the wiring last.

Thanks!
So I took the motors apart and cleaned up the contacts, put a dab of dielectric grease on the spindles, lubed the pinions, etc. and was expecting them to run a bit stronger. Nope. It was bad enough reseating the spindles into the contacts (I figured out the trick if anybody decides to tackle this) but to reassemble just to have it operate the same as before was a bit disheartening, plus I broke off a piece of plastic where one of the bolts seats into the motors housing.

Here's my main beef: The vertical seat adjustment motor (rear most of the 3-way switch on side of seat) seems like it binds as soon as the switch is triggered. Both my front seats are like this. I realize my car's 18 years old, and I do feel lucky to have 2 out of the 3 switches working, but does anybody have any input on what the deal is with the rear switch??
