Here is a SHO one of our club members found for sale, I contacted the owner and he sold it to me. It had been hit in the left center pillar, totalled by the insurance company, and then sat in his garage untouched for a whole year. He had gone as far as buying recycled doors for it, but the rear was all that needed replaced, the front door was straightened. I replaced the entire center pillar, and rocker panel, and with a hot air gun was able to heat out the dimple in the rocker cover. Once replaced, passed safety and emissions with flying colors, and is back on the road. The pillar paint color is a bit off, as we jsut used some left over close-enough green for it, since that part didn't get viewed much anyway.

PLus, this one is #6 for me, and is by far the smoothest running one I have ever driven. even with the windows down, you can't tell it's running unless you look at the tach.

UH oh, I msut have split a hose or blew the water pump at the Wendy's drive through just now.

Temp shot up, low coolant light came on, steam from under the hood smelling like antifreeze, and big green puddle around the right wheel. Shucks.

James, after at least 4 years (that I know of) of owning SHOs, this really comes as a surprise? :)

it was a little 3" section of hose that split, right by where the tranny meets the engine in the rear, attaches two metal hoses together.

Had to use a dime to get the old hose clamps off, got a lift to the 24 hour parts place, got replacement hose piece (2 pieces just in case) new hose clamps and coolant, got it fixed and got her home. Drove it around all day in the 100 degree heat with the A/C on, still holding.
