Who makes the Battery for Ford?

And does anybody know what is the stock battery size for a gen 2 SHO. My battery is DOA, and I don't have the car at my house to just pop the hood and check.

Thanks for the help.

Just about all car style batteries are made by Johnson Controls regardless of the label. I used to work for JC and every year we would do a battery run to like New jersey or something, our families and all had fairly new batteries in their cars for years...

The numbers are the battery Group Size. All battery manufacturers use a standard group size system, which sets out the physical dimensions of the battery and post location. Nothing else.

Johnson Controls makes the Motorcraft batteries. There are only a few battery manufacturers in North America, so most of the batteries you see are made at the same factory. JC also makes Interstates........

Interesting. Johnson control makes the interiors for impalas and grand prixs up here in the oshawa/whitby area.

I now have an interstate battery in my car. Along with Marcel's batttery cables, the car starts like it is new...

GNB use to make the OEM Motorcraft batteries in Pennsylvania and Louisiana. Exide bought them out in 2000, closed both plants and moved the Motorcraft production to Mexico.
