I am having trouble locating a decent battery for 40 bucks or so to replace the one that was in my 94 3.2

The used one started causing all kinds of corrosion for some reason so I assume its bad.

Autozone wanted like 60 bucks for their battery and only had the "top of the line" in. For that price I might as well spring the extra 60 and get an optima and just put it in car to car to car for years to come.

I am looking for a good battery but one that is not $$$. The one I took out came from Walmart and they do not have the same part number anymore...DT-3 they do carry a DT-3N but the guy can't tell me the difference between them.

The biggest cause of corrosion is ether a leaky seal at the post, over filling or over charging.

Before you throw money at an Optima consider the Odyssey. Much better battery, smaller and more powerful too. Not the do or die design of the Optima either but the more conventional and time proven sandwich type arrangement of the plates.

For the specs

Its gonna be hard to find a good battery for $40.. Go to Napa and buy a gold for $60. They cost so much for the stupid warranties.
