You've either got an electrical leak... like for an alarm, remote start, etc... or your wiring to the battery is corroded and not letting the juice get through.

Are you sure the battery is dead? Did you test it to make sure there was no current?

I know from personal experience that the positive lead can corrode and not the let the car start... but if you f*ck with the wire enough, it will usually fire... until you can replace the bad wire.

Good luck, fellow Monroevian.

There's a test procedure in the Helms. You have to pull the battery cable and hook a light in series with it...you can use a taillight bulb. If it lights, something is drawing current.

While it's lit, pull the fuses one at a time and see if it goes out. If it does, it something in that fuse circuit

NOTE: I tried this on my friends mustang but pulling fuses didn't do it. He finally found it was an intermittant switch on the glove box (parked in the dark and saw the light on!!) Sortof like that refrigerator light thing! Good Luck
