Anyone have any suggestions as to why my battery light now comes on intermittedly. I checked the battery and alternator charge, and they are in good order.

Now, why or what other reason the battery light could be coming on?

Could be the plug on top of the alternator. Might be loose or corroded. Also look at the wires as they go into the plug.

Bigdeez,

Check your connections. Make sure they are all clean and corrosion free. This includes the battery terminal connections, and especially the ground connections.

Then carefully check the condition of the battery cables for corrosion, splits in the insulation, etc.

I think Auto Zone will test your alternator and battery for free. This would be a good place to start. rangerj

Soon as it stops raining here in the Chi, I'll go check the wires and connectors for corrosions and loosenings. Hope that's the case.

The alternator was rebuilt about 3 months ago. It is still under warranty until early November.

...But, I had the battery and alternator tested; all normal.........

Thanks!
