battery light on????

ok have a 94 MTX was in a front end crashed fixed it and now the battery light is on battery test good alt test good on and off car all connections are cleaned and good but battery light is still on car starts and drives fine is there am i missing something any help thanks

What is the voltage at the battery while the car is running? Is the connector plugged in on the alternator?

yes its charging and when its running the voltage is 14.41 and 14.32 under load yea all plugs/connections are cleaned and dielectric grease

Maybe its putting 14.4V but the amps are maybe low. I donno the specs on the amps , but usually that light doesnt come on for nothing. The alt is about to give up.

If this was mine , I wouldnt go too far from home with that light on.

For what its worth, the last alternator i got from orielly's for the 93 had the light on all the time. The charging voltage was good, but the light never shut off. Eventually they got me another and it functioned as normal.

just as strange as it turned on it is now off i have no idea why it was on!!!! DAMIT!!!!

My light does the same thing. It comes on every few months then goes off for a few. Lol.
