Since my idler pulley bearing seized, (still the same bearing but cleaned up, spin very freely but with some noise, waiting for the new one to come in) When I accelerate, mostly in first and in second gear the battery light come ON, as soon as I left off the gas, it goes off, and it mostly comes off around 3000+ rpm. Its been like that for 2 days, but I havn't experienced any problems yet.
3 weeks ago I checked the alternator output : 14.54 volts

Is my alt dieing or something is just f*cked up?

mine used to do that when getting on her, but also went up to 17.8 volts. New alt. put in, and good to go, for now.

voltage regulator maybe screwy...
the battery light will come on in a under charge state, or over charge state.

It's been my experience that when the battery light is on, the alternator isn't charging. You can tell because the lights dim down when it happens. I believe it's the regulator shutting down because the voltage is getting too high. It's a common problem with rebuilt alternators on the V8. I've tried two different regulators and a new alternator and I can't get it to stop doing it. Mind you mine is doing it above 5000 rpms.

problem fixed, it was only the little gray plug on the alt that was loose and very corroded.
