Battery LIght On, Help?

Hi there,

My battery light is slightly on, only visible at night, about 1/4 the way on.. any thoughts? Runs fine.

Your alternator is dying. Pick up a new one before it is too late.

My battery light has been coming on every once in a while since February and my car is still running. But I agree your altenator or battery is most likely on the way out. Just take it to a shop and get them to see how your system is charging before you replace items. This way you aren't replacing things that don't need replacing.

I would highly suggest you get your's replaced as well. You will spend much more in repairs if the constant load transfer from alt to batt ends up causing a major electrical malfunction.
