I was taking the cruiser to work and the thing started to shake violently. I thought maybe I had a flat tire. I pulled over to check and all the tires were fine. The left rear wheel was hotter than **** though. Would this be a bad bearing, or maybe the caliper hanging up? I didn't do much of an inspection because it was super hot, and I was already late for work. Any ideas? Thanks

First idea that comes in mind is your LR wheel , is loose , remove cap see if the bolts are sill tightened.

That was the one thing that I did check. I have the GEN III chromies on it, so that part was easy. Thanks though:thumb:

Sounds like the classic rear caliper slider pins hanging up. I've seen it too many times.:thumb:

Thanks guys, I'll go check it in a bit and post back :thumb:

If it is the slider pins hanging up, how do you remedy the problem?

Take out the pins, clean them (if its bad use a wire brush) and re grease them. Also, make sure the boots aren't cracked. Your local part store should have pins and boots too if needed.

I recently had an 80% tread Toyo 800 with the same symptoms that turned out to be separating tread. It was not apparent until looking at all 360 degrees of the tire. Good luck...Dave
