Autolite Plugs?

Saturday's here and it's been a while since I changed the oil in the plug wells

This time I pulled the plugs too and they're Autolite AP3924. These have been in from the original owner and have about 30,000 miles on them. The car's been running fine.

I've read on SHOTIMES the the 'mysterious Motorcraft' is the only plug that works. Have I been lucky or are the Autolites OK to use? Is the 3924 the right heat range? I've seen the 3923 in the archives.

My 95 had the Autolites in it when I bought it. The problem with AUtolites is they are too tall. The wire boot doesn't seal good against the valve cover, allowing water in the well. Also, when I put the Motorcrafts in, they had a butt dyno gain in power...

My car had Autolites in it as well when I bought it, and there was actual MUD inside the wells. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Also, one of my rear boots was completely loose inside the plug well. As Scot said, they also seemed to improve performance for me as well. When I first got my car, a friend with a bade Probe even waxed my ass. eek!
