Just noticed a problem with my autolamp. It was working fine up until two days ago. Lights are comming on during the day. They still turn off automaticly when the car is turned off, but are on no matter when it is on.

What is the most common failure for this. I would suspect the photocell on the dash, but would like to hear from anyone who has had this problem.

Do you by chance have anything covering the sensor on the dash? Is the lever on the autolamp switch at it's most sensitive?

These things are known to go bad and can be replaced very easily with a JY part.

The sensor is clear. Even cleaned the dust off of it. I've had the slider in different positions. I guess I can just pull the sensor out and measure it and see if it is good.
