Hello Everyone,

Has anyone replaced the light sensor on the driver's side of the dash recently?
I came across a new one and would like to replace mine (1990 SHO), but don't want to spend 10 hours doing it.
Is this a difficult part to replace?

Thanks,

I can't really be much help on the replacement tips but book time is .5 hours so it can't be too hard. I would expect you carefully pry it up and unclip the wiring from it.

I have a GenII and all you have to do is pop the panel out and then R & R the sensor. You will have to adjust the sensitivity. May be its difrent on a GenI. I had mine relocated so i could put tweeters in those panels.

Thanks guys, I will give it a try through the top.
For some strange reason I thought it had to be removed from underneath the dash.
