Hello,
The Auto headlights switch I leave in the farthest to rt. position.
Set it and forget it.
What I have noticed is the high beam is also "Auto". I have blasted a few already with them.

SO question is. Can I turn that part of the feature off.

Yes, the auto high beam can be turned off...you cycle through the settings in the display in the speedometer (sama place where you set the adaptive cruise) and there you can turn off the auto high beam.

There is also a way to change the sensitivity. You will have to find it in the owners manual.

there is whole procedure in the manual on page 63 (Of the 2010 manual, dated August 2009, second printing).

I had to jump on a friends case about that. You spending $35k up for a car and don't bother to take the time to read the owners manual. She called me up asking where was the key for her car.:rofl:
