okay i have this problem on all my taurus and my friends. the door locks lock and unlock while driving. and the door ajar light goes on and off, and sometimes the panic alarm goes off for no reason.

i believe you can shoot WD-40 or some kind of greese into the latches in the doors to free up the action (since the switch is in the doors if i'm not mistaken)..
same thing happened with my moms 98..the dealer just shot something into the door latches cause some of it dripped down onto the lower bodywork just below the door

to the limit.
i had a problem where it always showed a door ajar and none were open left the dome lights on and really irratated me, even though it would go off after about five miniutes shot some wd-40 on all the door hinges and haven't had a problem since

Very common problem. The door actuator switch gets dry. Spray with good silicone spray or WD 40.
