I grabbed one from the junkyard. It came from an 01 Grand Marquis I think. I got the plastic covers mostly intact and the medallion to mount it. There are three wires. My plan is to run it up to the wiring for the sunroof and map lights. Does anyone know what each of the wires would be?

Edit: Never mind. I found the answer here.

That's what I did. You can glue the new mirror button to the old one. I replaced mine and it fell off anyways, then cracked the windshield pulling on it after putting it back on, so you might as well leave the old one there.

I just put a ring terminal on the ground wire for the mirror and put it under one of the screws for the sunroof motor, then tapped the power into a switched 12v for the moonroof.

I would just google the model number on the backside of the mirror (I'm guessing its a Gentex 177) and you should be able to find the pinouts for the wiring.

Thanks. I think that will help. I'm not sure there would be an easyish way to make the reverse work so it sounds like I just need the hot and ground wires. Hopefully it warms up a bit this weekend and I can work on it.
