I just picked up a '90 SHO and the auto climate control is not working. Is there a way to convert it over to manual controls using a unit out of a different car? If not. what are the odds of finding a functioning auto control unit?

That is not a SHO specific item. The parts should not be that hard to find, but what part of the system do you need? What is it doing or not doing? You have checked fuses right?

The display on my 89 went dark so I thought it was dead. I found one in a non-SHO junk car. After I pulled the unit out I saw a sticker on it telling you how to replace the light bulb for the display. I said "DOH" and put it back in the dash. If that is the part you need and can't find it local I can go back and get it for you. They wanted $45.

When looking for parts that are not SHO specific make sure you check for Sable's as well. You might also look at other Ford-Linc-Mercs from around the same year. I know the CC in my wife's 93 Town Car was the same as was in my 93 SHO.
