Hey All, anyone delt with this issue? No sound other than menu beeps coming thru the speakers. Can't select any of the AM/FM inputs at all, can choose sat radio and CD, and display screen 'looks' normal like stuff should be happening. But no output to speakers.

I did find some youtube videos that addressed this, but curious if anyone here has first-hand experience. Looking like removal and repair is the solution, which seem like a pain, but probably better that a big repair ticket at dealership.

Any insight or troubleshooting tips to verify before taking the dash apart to access this piece?

Which audio system do you have? Have you checked the fuse for the amplifier in the trunk? And the amp for the ACM?

Don't have access to FORScan, would need to rely on shop for that. Not familiar with audio system options, to be able to identify. Has sony components apparently. Will look into checking fuses. Apparently, one of the last symptoms my wife recalls was a phone call that the sound was unusually 'scratchy' sounding.

I have another thread addressing the repair. In my case it was the audio control module failure. Apparently not that uncommon, as there are a couple different shops that offer mail-in repair service. I guess there are some cold solder joints that get redone, to solve. I will look and see if I can locate the other thread and link it if so.

Here is the rest of the discussion, after I had diagnosed in more detail: https://shoforum.com/threads/2018-ford-taurus-sony-system-problems.146730/
