ATX work

Mechanic: Sergio Perfetti (owns a SHO himself). The shop is in far northwest Houston. [Editor's Note - this is where I have all of my non-warranty work done.]

Here's an example of a Houston SHO owner's experience with this shop :

"I have a 93 auto w/81K on the speedo. I noticed a loss of power (until 4,000RPM) and the shifting of the automatic transmission was lagging behind normal response. After it became very pronounced (lack of power) I parked it and had a dealer tow it in. I will not mention the dealer. They kept my car 4 days and told me "it would be $4,200 plus tax to repair, what do you want to do?" I called Sergio at Jerry's Automotive. After describing my situation, he said have it towed to his place and he'd look at it. I had it towed from the dealer to Jerry's Automotive and ---To make a long story short--he replaced my timing gear, timing belt, a pin and a seal. and $419 later, I was in business again."

I found this, I belive off the LSSHOC website under mechanics....I was just wondering if anyone has used this person in the past, or know of anyone who has used him. This testimony is EXACTLY the same problem I am having...same year model, ATX, and symptoms.

I know Sergio personally and would give him my highest SHO recommendations there down in Houston. Give him a call and use him with a clean conscience..... thumbs_u

c00! Thx 4 your 2 cents...anyone else use him? It's not that I don't trust you J., I'm just the type of person that shops around a lot before I buy.

BTW, do you know if that phone # is his personal # or the shop's?

He's been a member of the SHO community for a long time. He's still an active member on one of the other boards/lists. His experience and expertise are top notch. I wish someone that good was within 100 miles of where I live. Don't sweat it.
