atx shiftkit?

94 sho runs good shift fine but feels like the tranny should be in a lincoln not a performance sedan being 50 years old I have owned a few muscle cars and would install shift kits in the valve body for firmer shifts and better performance
is this something that is still doable or not jack

People generally use Tweecer to adjust their shifts on the ATX SHO's. 1993MTXSHO made some tunes for his ATX and managed to get his car to chirp 2nd gear.

you can indeed install a shift kit.
there was one floating around fordbastards.org for real cheap price.

if i recall when nick did his with the tweecer he jacked up line pressure.
granted it shifted awesome but the best thing to do if you really want a good atx is build it up.

also i learned from another guy on here that the stock trans pump isnt enough no matter what size cooler etc you use its not enough.
get it to flow more atf and it might survive for some time

my buddy put an unknown chip in his atx and it made that chirp 2nd also.

There is a TransGo shift kit that you can get for our atx tranny. To install it though, the tranny must be completely disassembled...so it's smart to rebuild it at the same time!

best bang for the buck is to buy a tweecer and get a tune on it. the difference is night and day!

I originally wrote that tune and gave it to him. He had to tune it down cos he said it was loosening his fillings... :laugh_ti: I chirp 2nd on a regular basis. Good times. I'm willing to provide said tune to anybody who wants it (and has a TwEECer). I have UDPs so my redline is set a bit higher...

I am interested in a copy of that agressive tune. I am starting from scratch with the new tranny.
