Checked fluid level and all is well, but whether the car is hot (running for awhile) or cold (just started) the shift from 1st to 2nd then 2nd to third feels as though drivetrain went one way and the car the other. It will do this under momentum propolsion (just rolling and not accelerating) and mild acceleration, but when pushing the accelorator hard the car upshifts much too soon - but no hard shift, then when slowing down and not pushing on the gas it downshifts violently and often seems to downshift/upshift and downshift again as if not knowing what it wants to do. Once on the freeway shifting from 3rd to O/D or even 2nd-3rd-O/D isnt a problem. Likely due to the fact that the car is accelerating under load. Car has 160K, and while I suspect that the common solution is to get it rebuilt, I dont have the pennies to do that now. So does anyone have any temp fixes that will get me another 20-30K out of it? Could it be the c-clip?
