atx o/d switch not working

i just noticed my o/d on off switch does not work ...i think..the light in the dash does not light at all..so i am not really sure if it is working or not ...the car is a 93 with 100 k miles on it trans serviced about 6 months ago...any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated ...thanks in advance pat

First verify whether its working or not, get up to highway speed and click the button does it come out of od?

Likely it is the wires to the button, remove the console and see if there still attached.

it must be the wiring ...took it on the highway and it goes into overdrive..nothing happens when i hit the button...i will check the console next ...thanks

Pat, the wires tend to brake under the console for the o/d switch.

Got it fixed. .....it was the wires under the console. ..... Thanks for all the help.....
