I would like to put new ends on my prexisitng earls hyperfirm lines. i have the 'right-sized' earl's line-to-pipe threaded fitting(in a 90 degree shape, to imitate a bangos'). i bought the lines and fittings at the same time when i stopped jegs last summer.

if anyone has any tips or even small things to look out for, please post them. earl's website 'how-to' really wasn't that helpful because there are no pictures. Thanks, Corey

Corey, I just installed my Earl's lines for my 95, and it was a snap - simple replacement for the existing lines. I haven't seen the Gen 1 kit (is there a kit or are you retro-fitting?).

Good luck!

oh, I agree, they fit great. i'm sure you are enjoying your set.

what i'm doing is fitting calipers that require a pipe-threaded connection, so i want to modify my exisitng lines with a new end. i wanted to see if anyone has made up these lines before had some tips. thanks for the reply, Corey

Just my $.02, but I would never feel comfortable futzing around with a brake hose like that -- I think you'd be better off trying to find the correct hoses or see about having them custom made.

Are we talking dual piston PBR's perhaps? I saw Kirk Doucette re-fitting & re-flaring his Gen 3 lines to allow the use of the Cobra calipers.

i don't either, but there is somthing about hop-ups that are worth it. keep in mind, done properly, these type of connections are stronger, safer and better that any kind of factory made hose. the reason i posted was so that i could get imput and not repeat others mistakes, and to build on their knowledge.

i belive the cobra calipers use a OEM bango style connection, but then, i've never seen those either. the aluminum calipers i have have a inlet that uses a 5/16 pipe thead. email me if you want more info about the hardware spec. thanks guys, Corey
