I got it installed this morning. Tried last week, but gave up after a few hours of working at that bolt :mad:

Here are the pulleys; the ASP one has a notable difference in size.

And here is the tool that made taking the pulley off quite easy :D

I didn't bother taking after install pics, too excited to take it for a test drive :thumb: There IS (yes that's right, I said IS) a performance difference. Also, It is much more willing to spin tires on all types of pavement.

I'll get back later with track results (IF any :rofl: )

btw, the only way I can spin my tires is if I launch it with the wheels cut ALL the way to the left or right :rofl:

Would a harmonic balancer puller not work? (I know Autozone rents them for free)

How was it getting the new gates belt on? :huh:
Mine was a major, major PITA! :eek:
But I finally got it on by bumping the engine over. :rofl:

Yep, took 3 people :rofl: One person to hold it on the idler under the PS pump pulley, another to hold the tensioner, and I was turning the crank pulley :D

Thats what I'm talkin about. But it was just me and the wife. :rolleyes: I had the tensioner pulled as tight as I could with one hand, and the other hand puttin on the belt with the wife doin the same. :eek: Finally got it on as far as I could to let go of the tensioner and admit defeat as far as puttin it all the way on by hand. :rant: I left the rest of it as I said, by bumping the engine over. :rofl: Went great then. :****:

I forgot that the Gates belt you get from them, should be one inch longer. :bonk:
There wouldn't be problem then. :finger:

And does mine :p Now it will do it while I am already rolling (more often). On my AA Summer only tires :****: I can smoke the DRs while I'm turning :rofl:

Russell I hate to rain on your parade, but with your stock 204wtq or whatever it was, and then with this UDP, there is no way that gave you enough power to smoke them while already rolling. You do have a freak, yes I will agree with you there, but I think you are blowing this UDP way out of proportion in terms of your power gains. We can all chirp them from a dig, maybe some of us can smoke them if we tried hard enough, but something as small as a UDP will not give you so much power that you can smoke them while you already have some forward momentum. If you can prove me wrong then I stand corrected.
Not flaming or anything, and I do think it is cool that you have a UDP, I just think you need to understand that one UDP does not equal a few pounds of boost, or even tens of horepower, it only reduces parasitic loss from the accesories.

And how fast are you going exactly when you punch it and smoke the tires? Like not even 5mph? In my brothers GTP he can get some wheelspin in his GTP while going about 20mhp but thats cuz of crazy torque in them. I have to agree with Roman on this one. Sorry...

yes, torque would be the key in pulling off something like that, which the SHO certainly lacks :D
BUT, this makes GREAT marketing for the American Motorsport SCT chip that Russell uses. It just so happens there is a Group Buy going on :D

haha, reread :bonk: I said I can smoke the drag radials while turning :p

CLEARIFICATION:
Smoking tires- Tires spin very fast and make white smoke :finger: I didn’t say they smoked them anywhere. Also I did not have sexual relations with mon... Never mind :bonk:
