Well, having last run the old girl back in early January, and that time it being outright messy out so it was just a warm up, this time with the road being dry from a second day in a row of sun, I spun her up and took her for a bit of a drive. The Gen III remains a really fine sedan. Runs perfectly and is great fun to spin around the curves out here in the sticks. After running her through her paces for 20 minutes or so, she went back into the car shed, but it does feel like spring is coming now... :)

Stephen, I think you should make a video production of your car to the tune of "Red Barchetta" (color notwithstanding). Not only is it a Canadian Band, but takes place in a rural setting. Lord help us if the MOTOR LAW ever comes to pass. I won't be surprised if we see something similar in the next few (read: "two") years. Yours is the closest to original that I've seen on here, especially with the restoration, so what better candidate?

What 'motor law' do you mean? They did have some strange thing going over in Vancouver for the last decade or so, but recently let it drop, so you no longer need an emissions inspection every year. Air Care I think they called it. Politicians are pretty strange folk.

That is interesting. Now I guess I will have to go see if I can find the song on you-tube. I have a vague memory of a somewhat similar story done on a Twilight Zone long ago. The original one that Serling did back in the 60's.

play a youtube clip that has lyrics since Geddy's speech tends to be hard to understand, especially back in "those" days.
