Argh, stupid rocks!

The day started so well too. I met my parents for lunch today before work and on the way back...it happened. Probably doing about 60, a truck passes me and I see something coming right for me, then WHAP! With a combined speed of probably 120mph a rock, not a pebble, decided to let go of whatever it was holding onto on the truck and come after me. Hit so hard that it chipped the paint in two places and put a small dent above the chips. It is right above the drivers side of the windshield, on the curve. Very noticable. Pretty glad it didn't hit the moonroof though, that would have been really bad. So now I need some touchup. I have looked in Pepboy's and Advanced Auto Parts before and found nothing. Any ideas on where I could find some good stuff in ebony satin?? shrug

I've got a quart of it in my garage; but that isn't going to help you. Try http://www.paintscratch.com . Alot of the Lincoln LS guys swear by them.

If you got the name of the trucking company, your insurance company should go to bat for you. I had my windshield cracked by a rock, caused by a TT unit in Maine. My insurance company said that if I got the name of the trucking company, they'd go after them for reimbursement.

Thanks a ton for the help. I will def. check them out. As for the trucking company, it's too late now, but a good thought if it ever happens again. thumb
