Are the valve shims the same as the V-6?

I have a bunch of V-6 shims, and I am welding my cams this weekend, so I was planning on adjusting the valves also. I need to know if they are the same or not!

No the V-8 shims have a small hole used to blow compressed air in to remove it from the bucket. The V-6 shims are soft enough to drill the hole or I found that I could blow compressed air across the outer edge and get the shim to lift and remove it with out the hole. I purchased all my replacment ones from a motorcycle shop and they are harder and could not be drilled.

I aslo found that most of my V-6 (not all) were not thick enough to work in the V-8 however that can be diferent from motor to motor.
