I was reading a post here on the forum saying how the front and rear O2 sensors were different. I already ordered a set from Performance Plus, so I figure I'd ask them. They told me that they were the same. I also asked a couple of SHO owners on AIM, and I got an even number of people saying that they were the same, and that they were different. Are they? Thanks

The only difference I know is on the length of the wiring harness.

At least on the Gen I SHOs they are the same. Why would they need to be different? Both monitor the exhaust gasses from three cylinders of the same displacement.

I also ordered a pair of 02's from Performance Plus and was told by them that they are indeed the same.

As far as I know, the different sensors are both HEGO sensors, and are functionally the same. One part # is a Bosch unit (long cylindrical part), and the other Nippondenso shorter).
