Does anyone know if the Rear control arms in the SLO are the same as the SHO? If so, Are the same for Gen I and Gen II? SHO arent really plentiful in junkyards around here, but I could probably find planty of SLO's. Thanks

I'm like 99% sure they are the same, probably up through 2000 at least. But stick with gen 2 Taurus to be sure.

Why not go with GTP or Ingalls arms for more adjustability?

I will eventually be upgrading to adjustable ones. Right now the plan is (depending on cost of arms) is to replace the 2 non-adjustable RCA with the ones that have the eccentric bushing in them. This way I will have some camber adjustmant instead of just toe.

There must be some camber adjustments in the stock set up. When I got my 95, the rear wheels were inclined at an angle that you could spot a mile away (the up and down, shown from the rear). I too bought a bunch of adjustable parts associated with the rear suspension. I took it to a rural Ford Dealership that still had some guys who remembered the SHO. When the job was done, they gave me back all my adjustable parts and my wheels were perfectly positioned.

My alignment guy figured out how to get SOME adjustment, but to my knowledge it is not designed with any type of camber adjusment mechanism.

I think after 92 they went to where all 4 of the rear arms had eccentrics and were able to be adjusted - so jayro, you may not be accomplishing anything.

Mine is a '94 and it only has the one set.

I've never seen any taurus with 4 rear adjusters, you have to add the other two.

This is what I would have to do on mine.

been there, done that about 15 years ago. you can press out the non-adjustable bushings and install adjustable ones all around, 8 total. Also massage the top strut holes to fix some camber issues.

-cam kit part # from Ford.........E6DZ-5K751-A
if one would help...

that kit is nothing but bolts and large offset washers. you have to grind out the holes in the H box for lateral movement, then use the offset washers to force the bolt sideways.

Yeah, they are the same CRAP. Get adjustable control arms and be done with it.

-Josh

It is all about oppotunity cost. Mine are not broke and $185 can pay for some track time. My driving skills are not to the point where I would see huge benefits from the adjustable rear arms. If I can get some more adjustment for cheap, great, but not worth trading track time $ for.
