I'm doing a teardown and rebuild and I noticed that the rear of the crank has a groove worn in it by the rear main seal. I want to sleeve it but my searches come up blank so can someone point me in the right direction as far as where to buy one. Thanks.

No sleeves, but in my experience, with a new seal, that groove isn't detrimental to the oil retention performance of the rear main seal.

When I rebuilt my motor my rear crank had a groove from the old seal also, put in a new seal and have 30k on it without a drop. I wouldn't worry about it. You may see those on the cam seals also - perfectly fine.

For the modest cost of a Redi-sleeve, do you want to take a chance on it leaking?

AutoZone (or any other store) - Timken/BCA 99351 - Around $30.00 - 1-2 days usually.
