Well ive either got a bad axle or a blown diff/tranny in my MTX. Seeing as i can't afford another tranny if this is the case i will most likely have to sell. How much do you guys think i can get? MY mtx has a 110k on the motor with a fresh 60k and perhaps bad tranny. The body is in good shape and so is the interior. My ATX has 233k on it and ran good before the ecu went and pulled the wires off of it. I know that without it driving i wont get much for it. im guessing 500-800 for the ATX and maybe 800-1000 for the MTX? if im off here let me know guys. This is incase of worst scenario (my diff pin blew). couple pics below

I'd say $100, and you can sell it to me for that *laugh*

I't woudl be tough selling a SHO that isn;t driveable, especially to the general public. Any chance you have of sellign it woudl be on a SHO forum..

I'd guess you should be able to get an honest $500 out of it.

You will get a lot more money parting it out than selling it whole. I can get rust-free good running SHO for $1000 out here.

Its not easy parting out a car tho, if you want any money from this car your going to have to part it out.

It looks like axle popped out on the MTX!! im hoping that's all anyways. First question, did it mess anything up having it gear while rolling with the axle popped out? second question, if all goes well and it is just the axle, i still will most likely part out the ATX, how in the world did you make 2k? did you keep the motor as a whole or pull it apart? thanks

I just bought a 99% rust free 94 atx for 200. One of the valve cover bolt holes were stripped out and there was a BAD oil leak. Now its fixed, and drives great. Oh yeah, 24,000 miles on a trans rebuild, and i have the paperwork.

Also has new struts and springs, motor recently refreshed, new tires, plugs and wires, and some other stuff. Have paperwork on ALL of it.

I have an MTX trans for sale cheap, or I'll buy your broken car. I'm in MN obviously.

Looks like the MTX is gonna work out but im still willing to get rid of the ATX. It depends man, if you wanna drive it or use it for parts. If you wanna drive it, its gonna need some shit. Dont get me wrong, with some wires, a battery and what i think is an ECU it WILL drive (it will drive without a new ECU, just never know when it'll act up). But it also needs struts all around (i think saggy springs are wearing the very inside of the front tires), a tie-rod, probably bushings, rod bearings (oil light flicker) and i think it has a small oil leak. and i think its giving a code, but havent driven it in a long time. (month or two). It has 233k miles, but i promise you the tranny still shifted (if you were rolling backward and put it in drive without coming to a COMPLETE stop before doing so you'd get a bit of a clunk out of 1st into 2nd) but other then that was fine, i wound it out many times without problems. Motor runs fine as well but does take some time to start (4-6 seconds). Now you know the bad. I paid 1200 dollars plus a trade in for this car and i got totally f*cked, i had no choice as i drove to minneapolis in a rear-ended car that wouldnt have made it back to duluth for the trade, so i did it.
