paper thin tire? mayby. just go 18's un less you put a 24" lift kit on your car (dont try it) i would say away form 20's IMO 20's would just look silly :p

To each their own. I think a SHO with a well maintained body and the RIGHT 20's could look nice. I saw a tire ad in a tuner mag that had a GTP with 20's and it looked awesome, never knew a GTP could look cool :p jp. My point is you never know til you see it. If its done tastefully and right it could look good, IMO.

Like Kelvin said, with the right specs they will fit.

Buuuut.......weren't you the one that couldn't afford to lower your car the right(and safe) way? I know wheels, and 20's ain't cheap. Take your time young grasshopper and do things the right way. Get all the maintenance done first. Then after you've saved up the money, lower it and get some tasteful 18's.

Airbags/coilovers or SUMPTHIN has to be done to make more room and drop the fender lip over the shoulder of the tire...

Otherwise it might look like a 4X4.

as you stated I don't like the idea at all for many reason but, yeah they shoudl fit with the right offset and maybe rolling the 1/4's. But why 20's if you hit one pothole the rim is done.

the actual tire can't be much more that 26 1/2 inches tall, it will hit the spring perches on the struts

I saw a green gen2 in Norfolk with either 20" or 22"s on it. It looked utterly ridiculous, but the wheels seemed to fit ok. It won't be easy, I'd bet... but it should work.

If you use coil-overs you can get some more clearance diameter wise... Honestly though, there is a gen-II rolling around town here that is on some 20's and it looks kinda silly... Maybe if you cut and flared the fenders and did the coil-overs with it cranked down low to make up for the extra height... but even then it would ride like crap, and handle like crap... and I would hate to think of an alignment on that thing....

i dont think 20s belong a on a SHO, 18s are suffice.. it seems you would be sacrificing alot of ride and comofrt for bigger wheels..

throw some D's on it...

id like to see what the mods would have to be to get them to fit right. then i would offer an opinion on how they look, once i see it.

to each their own.

go for it if you want to

Doesn't matter how low the car is, you shouldn't have any problem fitting 20s with the right size wheel and tire.
