I ordered a set of Ground Control Threaded Coilover sleeves and springs for my '95. Has anyone used these??

I had a set on an Accord that I had a long time ago, they weren't the greatest things in the world, but they are just sleeves and not a fully threaded strut tube, so I didn't expect a race car out of em.

The main reason is, I need the adjustability for the jacked up weather here in Colorado ( 70 one day and 12" of snow the next , no joke )

Plus, it's fun to put the car way down from time to time.

I also intend to cut the majority of the spring perch off on the strut tube. I won't need it that large with the sleeves and could then go up a bit in overall tire diameter.

Opinions, or has anyone already done this.

Thanks,
Greg

I got em. The instructions suck, though. Make sure you have the springs on the right way, front and back. Also, you MUST run adjustable Koni inserts with these. No other strut can handle the dampening duties of the coil over's. Trust me.:thumb:

I've always wondered about these myself, Everyone I talk to who has had experience with Ground Controll coilovers was very unhappy with the results. Whats the general concencus on the quality of these Coilovers among SHO owners?

I've got them on my car, along with Koni adjustables. I like them but I don't drive on the street. Make sure you get rid of the spring perch completely, weld the supplied sleeve perch solid with the flat side to the wheels, and put the supplied o-rings under the sleeve, they keep the sleeve in place.
The best thing I can say is if you order them, call them, don't do it over the internet. If you call them they will set you up with the spring hieght and spring wieght for your type of driveing.

more rubber, more HP.....
I got them and I love them. . . for autocross. I'm also using them with Koni adjustables.

Although they really transform your car's handling capablilities, they are much too rough for daily driving IMHO, unless you switch to really soft springs (then what would be the point?), or unless you have calluses on your butt.

For daily driving I will stick with my Moog CC's. :thumb:
