I have an opportunity to buy a fully loaded (including moonroof, performance package) new '15 SHO from a Ford dealer about 100 miles from where we live for right at $38K (sticker just over $46K). I was wondering if anyone has purchased a new '15 this year and if so did you get a better price. Also any comments as to what others might think of the price would be appreciated. The car has been in dealer inventory for about 3 months. I checked the KBB value with 1000 miles on the car and entered the "used" variable and the value came up between $32 and $36K, which would be the value (maybe) after I have had it a couple of months.

I think $38k for a brand new 15 SHO with the right equipment is a deal.

Keep in mind that the kbb price you found is retail, not what you would get if you trade it.

Check the VIn number and build date I bet you can talk them down some more. If they want to make room for 2016 inventory have them put their money where your mouth is.

I purchased my '15 in January and I got about 12k off of the car (PP with every option). They had another '15 on the lot along with a '16 so that helped push it along. That was almost four months ago so you should probably be able to do better. Then again your market may vary.

If that is a "new" car, it has to be more than 3 months old. That dealer might have had it for 3 months, but it was probably sitting on some other dealers lot for 3 or 4 months before your dealer received it. I would think you could get it for about $10,000 under sticker.

Yes 9 or 10 under sticker. The dealers are getting major incentives from Ford to move the 15's. I would have got a 15 instead of a 16 but I wanted the bluejeans color plus sync3. I also get plan pricing to.

I think you can do a little better on price. I just bought a '16 for 39.2

Does not have the contour seats. (so that prob 39.8 or 40 even with the seats). Unless I got some type of crazy deal I have to believe you have room to play on a '15. They have to want to move it.

Side note. I was just car shopping with my wife for a SUV and the end of the month stuff at every dealer we went to (Jeep, Buick, Nissan, Acura, Ford) was insane... I know 'end of the month' is kinda a cliche in the car buying world but some crazy stuff was going down... Maybe wait until the end of May and see if you find someone trying to hit some quota?

Good luck!

also, i think (in the NE at least) the PPs go for little less than the DA models as the summer tires are an issue. (just from what I have seen/heard...?)

Ford lowered the price on the Taurus, and the SHO package as well. You can now get a fully loaded 2016 Taurus SHO w/ Performance Package, Nav, for $41,340. The option for the Multi-Contour seats appears to have been dropped, otherwise Sync 3 and some colors are all that has changed for the SHO w/PP.

I picked up my 2015 SHO PP about 2-months ago for $38,500 with 47-miles on the odometer at AutoNation Ford in Fort Worth, Texas. The only reason I got the 2015 instead of waiting for a 2016 was the rebates and incentive to offset some negative equity on my 2015 Mustang GT with a manual transmission in which my left knee was no longer happy with.

It does look like they added about 2k in incentives to the 2016 in the last few days. I've been comparing between Used and New 2015/2016. As of a couple days ago the 2015 had 4500 in incentives in my area and the 2016 only had 2500. Looks like they both have 4500 now.

I had already decided on getting a 2014 used. Should pick it up tomorrow. Sterling Gray with the leather/suede seats. Performance pack, 401A, Sunroof, Nav, and contour seats with about 20k miles for 27k. I couldn't talk myself into the fact that 20k less miles was worth taking a 10-12k difference in price considering 2014-2016 are very similar overall.

I purchased a 2015 SHO out the door for about $34,500 (including tax and everything). I got the employee discount+ additional discounts Ford had on the SHO at the time. My sticker was around $46K. The salesmen is my friend and when I was doing the math, I got the car for around $32,500 before tax. My friend called me and told me to get the SHO cause he can give me a very good deal on it. I actually went in to buy a Fusion and he called me for a SHO. Because I got the dark gray exterior and suede seats, I had to order mine and wait about a month for the plant to build it for me. Took around 5.5 weeks.

I will post pictures for it one day. I blacked out most of the chrome on the exterior (except around the windows and wheels), blacked out the tail lights and installed a tablet inside :)
