i know there are a few companies that make large carbon fiber designs that are “universal”. I’d rather do this than a fiberglass front spoiler. Having something that’s adjustable would be awesome.

I’ve got a buddy that’s really good with carbon fiber. He’s doing some wide body fenders for the focus right now. Might be able to get him to make something for me/us.

Im working on a project of my own and this was on the same subject sooooo.......Can a GEN4 guy be a kind soul and give a guy some measurements of the GEN4 chin spoiler? All the measurements that I can get will help alot...I realize im asking someone to remove the chin spoiler on their SHO, but it is for a good reason I promise!

You are talking about the lowest point on the front bumper, and not the lower cover, am I right? If so, Sterling McCall shows to have one in Houston as of this morning. The part number is AG1Z.8327.A (Green triangle in the image below). They'd probably let you measure it. Upload 2017 10 13 16 18 2

That piece both of you have highlighted is simply the smaller of the two plastic under belly pans.

Specifically the one that spans between the front lower portion of the bumper clip and the radiator core support/front frame.

The other piece circled is the rubber piece that fastens to that under pally pan.

Attached is a picture of the factory/OEM front lower balance (towards bottom of the pic) as well as that rubber piece (towards top of pic) which fastens to that smaller under belly pan.Cd035e8e4dc1af17e4862d1b8f66439b

Well, I threw up the bat signal to my buddy. This should be a very easy project for him. Im sure he would be up for a group buy. Not sure what forum rules are. But I’d like to send him the pieces that connect to the bottom of the bumper and the rear spoiler. Got a plan for that as well. Nothing crazy.

I've been thinking about this, I was curious if something like the one in the link would work if I removed the lower rubber skirt. Not certain on the measurements yet but if they show it on a chrysler 300 I imagine it can't be too narrow. That being said, a custom build would be much better and I would be down for a group buy.

You’re on the right track. And I believe we would need something that would replace the current rubber pieces. Need to start out with a level flat surface like the bottom of the actual bumper. Using the original mounting points of the trim you remove. I have to get it up and look at it. Anyone know what the width of our bumpers is?

I'm not sure, I see plenty of cars with those splitters where the front of the bumper are not perfectly flush with the splitter, probably have to make some brackets to use the original holes if it wont line up and those little strut bar things in the front for support.

Wouldn’t be hard to make it work. Finding something the right size and shape would probably be the difficult part.

Just talked to my buddy. He says that if we can get him the bottoms piece he can make us one. Or if we’ve got someone in the Jonesborough, TN area that can meet him for measurements, we can go that route too.
