I got an interesting email responce back from the retailer that has these two engines. He claims they came from a dealership overstock. Well, I suppose it is at the far fringes of possibility, but in general I do not think dealerships ever stocked a spare SHO V8, let alone stocking two of them, so at this point, though I am sure they have the motors to sell, I would be a bit cautious about everything else.

I'd say check with the BBB for the state they are in. They seem to be a salvage place lots of 3.0 SHO motors though so maybe the cars were "transport losses" ie I saw a few convertable Explorers, Taurus and the like come to the auction when a ****** with a transport truck went under a 13' bridge as 14'3" makes a mess wink They have warranty and 50 years, if the BBB people have a file on them check.

FWIW, Cherry Auto is located at Toledo, Ohio. I know they have a branch here in Madison Heights, Michigan.
And yes they are a salvage yard.
