Anyone know if we can forscan and add global close to the windows?

My MKS’s both have Global open and go global close but the SHO’s only have global open. Does anybody know the forscan codes to edit it? Is it possible and has it been done? I really feel global close is more useful than global open. I hate walking away from the car and noticing “oops I forgot to close that window or the sunroof “ and having to go back, would be nice to just press and hold lock on the remote like I can on the MKS’s

unfortunately I have't been able to find anything to date, even went as far as comparing the ABD with the MKS and can't seem to get anywhere.

I have a friend that tried to explore this option on a mustang. It turns out that the window motors or the door modules also played a factor, not just flipping bits.

It's not helpfull but may help your endever

^^^ That's exactly right. The components needed to do it are not in the window motors installed in the Taurus.

I think it's actually the controls themselves. The cars that allow global close have the ability to do all 4 windows single touch activation.

It has everything to do with it. The SHO has global open, however...IIRC they do not have the actual ability to global close because SHO does not have the safety features to stop the window in the case of something getting stuck in the window (say like an arm). I believe the MKS and Fusions do, that is why they can global close.

I'm glad it doesn't do the rear windows though, we have the sun screen on there for my girl and that'd have to be reset every time. I wish I could disable the sunroof portion of the auto open too.

That's easy. Remove the the one global open circuit to the roof opening pannle motor. I dont know your year and I didnt look to see if they are all the same, but it's a brown blue wire at the roof opening pannle motor for a 2016

Does that mean there is no safety feature when rolling up the windows during normal use? I hope not....

I watched a BMW salesman try to show off the auto reverse feature for their new-at-the-time autoup windows. Stuck his arm in the closing window, it hit his arm, stopped, then the entire glass panel fell into the door and shattered.

Yeah are used a friend of mine’s $10,000 diagnostic scanner thing that had an able global clothes selection and even when I did that it still did not work also. That’s when I started this post

I can't even get the remote window close to work at all on my 2016. I hold unlock for 3 seconds and they open, but holding lock doesn't do anything. Am I doing something wrong?

Its a little weird sometimes for me on my oh15, i think i do it too fast or too wrong lol
