hey on another note, and my ******* whent to the junkyard and didn't steal one
anyone have any spare hood struts laying around? good or bad.... I don't need the entire assembly, I just need one of the clips that holds it to the hood, I lost it when I removed the hood
I hope the MAF fixes my sluggish problem, sometimes its fast, sometimes it feels like its down about 30hp
I've changed so much stuff since I've had this car, engine, ECU, DIS, crank/cam sensors, entire ignition system, TPS, fuel pump, fuel filters, injectors, FPR...... about the only thing thats the same is the IRCM, O2 sensors, and the MAF...... its always done it since day 1
I scanned it the other day and finally got a MAF code on it...... output too low

I've got a spare MAF that you can borrow. Don't want to sell it though, as its my last one.
I might have that strut clip. I'll have to look. Just like every other time you need a part, I just threw a pair of hood struts away last week.

well there was a SHO at the junkyard I'll go back and check it out saturday.... see if it still has the MAF.... someone took the trans out and left the engine in it.... need to check out the tensioners and stuff..
whats the interchangability with SHO maf's? does it have to be SHO.... does it need to be a certain year? is an ATX the same as MTX?

any 89-95 SHO ATX or MTX maf will work.

BTW, I ended up using a mod-sized cotter pin + bolt from local hardware store, looks much better, works great, no life-threatening attempts to mount the clip anymore.

I forgot to look Todd. I have one at home but I can't remember if it is off my current one. I'm going by tomorrow after I do some work on the Viper.

You know I am going to go out on a limb here but I believe Todd is right and the MAF is bad... you know what that means, right?

I suspect cleaning it won't due much due to its erratic behavoir..... as in sometimes it works great, sometimes its horrible......
I really think if it was dirty and not reading properly... that this would not be an intermittent issue
on a side note, I got to drive my First new body style stang today
GT500!...... we had some cool cars at the shop today, GT 500, Ford GT, Flathead 32 ford that was probably the cleanest car i've seen in awhile.. and a nice sounding cammed engine .....turbo civic Si B16 with an 18g greddy turbo kit,,,, and maybe my favorite.. an old rusted to shit 80's chevy 4x4 army truck lol

Again, I didn't get to my shop. I was waiting for some parts today and ran out of time. I will be there for sure either tomorrow or Sunday and I can ship it down to you along with that balancer and IRCM you wanted unless you feel like making a trek up here.

I whent to the junkyard today and got another one.... no change...... even with cleaning it
guess I got a spare now..... I did find some MTX cars at the j/y suprisingly and picked up some nice parts tho......... nice tensioner, new altenator, coolant resavoir, some DIS modules.......
if I fix this MAF problem, and now I have no turn signals I need to fix... maybe I'll ride up there.. now its not even one problem after another.... its problems on top of problems
