Anyone ever deal with RCM Automotive Performance??? >:(

This is the 2nd time i have bought something from a Place that sells SHO PARTS.


I am new to the SHO scene.. and 2 out of 2 times i have had a bad experience.

First it started with BittwesweetSHO who took forever to get my ypipe out....

for me to find that it was 6" (yes six inches) to the left of my exhaust... it has LEAKS ALL OVER....

now i ordered a set of SS brake lines from RCM Automotive Performance, and paypal went through and im down $100... no response from RCM Automotive Performance, and nothing in the mail yet... this was 2 weeks ago.



I cant believe that i had bad service TWICE, and im new here.... i should just stop buying parts i guess.

Somethings to remember,
You have an out of production car.
Reputable vendors for parts are few and getting fewer.
Parts for the car are getting fewer and if they are available, they are most likely not on the self, ready to ship and need to be built or found in a warehouse.
Most vendors do this part time and have a passion for this car.
I have never had a problem with Russ at RCM, Josh at SHONut, or Brian at SHO Brothers, or Doug at FPS. (the "old timers")

If your looking for instant parts, you have the wrong car. Buy a Mustang.

FYI, Summit even was out of the braided hoses a month ago - they come in batches usually, and backorders get filled, sometimes emptying stock again.

I routinely buy from RCM, haven't had any issues. If I'm concerned about a product, I'll shoot an email off first to ensure it's in stock, then order, otherwise when it gets here it gets here.

I ordered a upper gasket kit 269$ , i took a nice week to get them. Considering im in Canada , its good.

service was great.

You literally have no idea how bad it can get, however this guy and the old timers are good bets from now on.

BTW, I was thinking about your Mr. Freeze setup the other day. What did you end up doing with that - donate it to the Smithsonian?

syP - Your posts were not deleted. They all go into a moderation queue first. Sometimes I can get to the queue every day, other days I cannot so there can be a lag in when you make a post and when it can be viewed by others.

I'm sorry you've been having problems. My personal experiences with Russ have been nothing short of spectacular. Russ has gone far beyond the call of duty when I needed things quickly.

actually you can get it from any parts store that can order felpro. it comes as a rear main seal, has the main seal and the carrier gasket.
