The rear of suspension of my SHO squeaks considerably. The local muffler/suspension shop has looked at it and found nothing major wrong. I have so far replaced the rear swaybar endlinks. As I see it, there are only two more things that could be the cause of the noise: the shocks or the swaybar bushings.

I have driven the car without the swaybar and it was resonposible for a lot of the squeaks. I did not change the bushings yet because my swaybar is so rusty that I am not sure it is worth putting bushings on it without replacing it.

Some noise is still probably coming from the shocks, but I am not sure. They are pricey so I am not going to replace them unless I have to. Anyone else replace their shocks yet? Is there something else that could be responsible for the squeaks?

. No, serously look for metal to metal contact it maybe simple bushing. That would be my only suggestion. Your rear struts not likly not to make that noise. But bad or overtight bushing can. Hope this helps.

I have a squeaking coming from my rear struts when I go over bumps. I read on v8SHO that the sarc struts do tend to go bad at about 50,000 miles. I just got a pair of rear sarc struts for my 96 from cincinnati SHO for 155 for the pair plus shipping. a great deal from the dealership price. I also have someone to install the struts for me for free. I also just purchased a set of roush springs for the genIII taurus and am going to have them installed at the same time. I will post results of the setup as soon as i get it installed.

Please do! I'd give anything to lower my front end a bit. I don't really care about the rear. It sits low enough for my taste.
