Was thinking it could use just a tad more bump. Ford has a bad habit of just when the bass starts to get good and give a decent low end they start cutting back the gains as you past a certain point in the volume. Really annoying. So I figure the only way around it is replace the sub/amp combo in the rear deck with something that has a bit more ooomph. Not looking to shake the glass out just "fill" out the sound profile a bit, now that I think about it the highs are a bit flat as well. The dynaudio system in my CC blows the sony system away and it didn't even have a sub.

So anyone mess with that yet? I was tempted to pull the covers off and have a look at what they've done back there but if someone has a picture that would save some time. Looking for some suggestions on what would sound good, what fits, etc.

A while back, Kirk (SHODWN) had posted pictures that included the sub and amplifier. I was actually going to do a minor upgrade to the bottom end of my system as well, depending on the outcome of the current service being performed.

The amp is easy to get to, it is on the left side of the trunk, just pull out the clips holding the lining on and it is right behind there. That's all I know.

I've heard the system in the MKS is awesome, but I have never "heard" it personally. That may be a suggestion though.

I think I'm just gonna replace the sub/amp in the back with something better. I'll dig in this weekend and have a look at.

Is there still a spare tire compartment on the cars that have the run flats? If so a custom box in that with something to protect the speaker is always nice ;) If it's done perfectly.
