fiberglass hoods will be 50.00 cheaper, it would only add about 10 pounds to the cf hood.
putting it aside will help but it takes abouth a month to get the mold complete so if i start the group buy in the next few days it will only benefit the time to start making the hoods. group buy usually drags for a while since it takes a few days to make the hood and a few days to get to the buyer. I am sure that the cowl hoods will be a succes and get a postive feedback. there was one or two problems but they seem to be fixed the 2nd hood that came out shows how all the hoods will come out in near future. At this point if i can get 5 deposits the hood will be picked up from brian in OH and shipped to the manufacturer in CA and then the process begins for the oem hoods.

ill keep everybody posted.

I rather start with the OEM carbon fiber for now, weight loss is great for performance but if you are going to invest might as well go all the way with carbon fiber inside out and also get the look. I would be very interested in a second with a cowl. #7 looks really good. Let me know via email how you are going to work out the deposit or payment. :thumb:
would you like to be put on the list for the oem? #7 can be done since it is similar to the 99 gt stangs the manufacturer has the hood at his place and can work it in to any hood.

Sounds good. Is there still an option to pick it up? I'm in Canada and the cost of picking it up might be cheaper than shipping it across the border. UPS always hits me with a nasty brokerage fees for clearing customs. I use a commercial address just across the border to avoid the fees.

Also, has anyone ever tried to fit a hood in the back seat of their car? I wonder if it will fit through the doors? I doubt that it would.
