out of all the gen2s i've seen the front end body gaps all are different. i know mines never been hit and it looks different from alot of other shos that have never been hit either. the gap under and around the headlights and the gap between the "grill" and the hood are different, anyone know what right is for these gaps and why theyre different between cars.
this one looks right i think

Lots of things happen over 20 years. Just because there aren't any recorded accidents, it doesn't mean its never been bumped. On top of that, the long Gen 2 noses just seem to sag over time. I've loosened and lifted the bumper covers on my last two Gen 2s to get them in better alignment, but not perfect.

^^Just wanted to say nice rims!!^^ Look like mine, but black..

As far as this thread, what he said. I know i jacked mine up on a tall curb. Alot of snow could do the same (if it's packed hard enough) I think it was about a 1/4 inch to begin with between the hood, and plastic directly underneath it. Now it's like 1/8th of an inch. I'm sure you could mess w/ it if you wanted too....

Adam (acsho) and Brooklyn have the best looking, tightest front bumper covers I've EVER seen. In fact, I wager to say the front of their cars look just like that old Ford ad. Adam's car is for sale btw :thumb:

I just installed a carbon hood this summer and had to slide the front bumper forward even more which made it worse. I did use some 2" thick couch cushion foam and wedge it between the bumper and the cover while I was down there, it closed the gap under the headlight a little. I figure it will hold moisture a little but it's between the plastic cover and plastic bumper no?
I know the previous owner took a shot in the front (hood had bondo at corner), and I'm sure it's not the stock cover because it doesn't have the fins on the bottom.

Mine got the tires of a Jeep rubbed on the front-left corner, though I think my sag has been there since I found the thing. I'd love to re-align that gap if I could.

Thanks! :) That was a day after my "Hunter" treatment... :) And I think the "gap" in there was just the angle I took that pic at... I'll see what pics I have when I get back to the house.. :)
