i have a 90 taurus SHO.. the first year an anti lock brake system was introduced.. well.. for the first time today.. i slammed on my brakes because of a stop sign i did not see.. as a result.. all 4 wheels locked up.. thankfully i was able to stop at the stop sign with no problems.. however.. i have come to the conclusion that my abs module is shot.. i did a few more runs and stomed on the brakes in a giant parking lot (i can kick the back end of the SHO out) and my abs did not work a single time.. my wheels were being locked up by the brakes.. however.. i was able to pump the brakes myself with out any problems.. ive located the abs module in my engine bay.. and i was wondering what i have to do to remove the entire abs system from the SHO.. i see the module in the engine bay, but is there something on the actual calipers itself?? wires or anything like that.. i know for a fact that i wont have any money to replace my ABS system.. and it does not matter to me anyway.. since it doesnt work.. i'd like it off my car.. can anybody give me any pointers?
