Another steering thread

I've found a lot of threads, but no definite answers. 93 that I assume has variable assist. Surges when turning left or right. Struts are blown and it clunks on turns...

Where to start? I had already planned on doing the struts and steering components. Should I be planning a rack install?

sounds like the boost valve sticks, so replacing the rack seems a good choice.

my red 94 was like that and replacing struts did not solve it.

The whole ride feels a little goofy. I was reading about that. Would a filter and clean fluid help at all?

I would guess it would be a good idea to replace everything at that point. Lines, cooler, pump? And install a filter

"clunks on turns" : A signal that your subframe bushings need attention.
