Well, I figured that I may as well join in on all the fun as well, I have had the COP's and the wiring diagram for a while now, and have since decided to go ahead with the deal

Here are some starter pics, I am using 04 F150 coils (got them free at work off of an engine that was going to be scrapped)

There is not alot of room between the intake and the valve covers, as seen here on one of my spare engines.

Here are all 6 coils modified with the SHO spark plug boot, just letting the silicone dry, as for how I am going to secure them down to the valve cover, I am not too sure yet

I tried the 5.4 cops , be because of the curved boot ,no worky.

Great idea on the boot swap , good job.

Actually, the 3 valve 5.4's are a straight boot, but, I still wanted it to seal properly, I took the idea from Firebat45 on modifying the COP to attach to the SHO spark plug boot

Some more images

I modified one of my old coils (yes, I do have a few spares) to be able to connect into the factory coil connector, so that if I ever had to, I could go back to the waste spark coil

some more views of the COP against the intake

connector will be pointing right up in the air lol.

I tried that route with sho plug boot. I hated how high the coil was off the v/c

These will be the last pictures for tonight, and until I get my engine back together

I ran all my wiring in the valley, so that it's out of the way, my next step will be to take an existing injector harness, strip it down, and splice in the COP wiring so that it will look totally factory.

Where'd you get the connector from? Hacked off a coilpack or from something else? Any reason why you don't want to just hardwire the COP harness in?

Yep, hacked it off another coil pack, I just wanted the ability, that if I needed to fall back to a waste spark coil system, that I could with out too much problem
