Off Road SHO

Another great get together. Decided to take one of the Bondurants down to the corner car wash and since it wasn't exactly street legal, asked Mikey (F-22Raptor SHO) to tail me in my 91 down there and back. Well wouldn't you know it, we end up next to each other at a stop sign. I jump the gun on him and he still kills me. Damn slushboxes!
No sooner do I get into 3rd gear and I get this terrible vibration. I hit the brakes to slow down and the right front tire locks up solid, sending my antilock brakes into a tizzy. Get it stopped and off the road and find out one of the PBR bracket bolts had come off and allowed the caliper to pivot on the remaining bolt outward towards the slicer. Damn, that could have been a nasty ending.
No problem; sent my shop biotch Mikey to go find another bolt back at the shop.
Lesson learned: tighten up all bolts on a regular basis. And don't race other SHO's. Okay, one out of two lessons learned aint bad.
We did get a lot of SHO's worked on, and that's the important part. Ended up with a nice bonfire with hot dogs, chips, potato salad and BEER!

Atleast we found a good one. I also discovered that my front brake pads have about 1-2 mm of material left on them. Good to know. I need new tires too... Figures all this happends around Christmas time.
