Nice, sounds good. Lets hope those numbers are close to what the media will squeeze out of it. Those numbers are pretty much on par with a 2010 Mustang GT too.

I actually got to talk to an engineer on the new SHO right before he took one out for a ride, no I couldn't go with him :-(, and he told me that they wanted to add a Brembio brake package to the track pack, but it would've cost $2000 just for the brakes and the bean counters voted it down, saying that not enough people would buy them at that price. They woul've been nice, but that also means that Brembo has probably already designed the package for the new SHO and will probably be availible aftermarket anyways.

109 seems high

:munch:

You really think so? cause it sounds right on to me. I was just reading the Volvo S60R does a 14.0 sec 1/4 mile @ 101mph, so 13.77@109 sounds right on the money. I think the S60R is closest comparison as far as straight line performance to the new SHO cause it also has a turbo, Haldex AWD and weighs about 2 tons. I see the new SHO just beating the R in a straight line.

Actually a number of people have reported doing 13.7,13.8s quarter mile times with stock cars. The card is notoriously difficult to launch due to bog. I don't recall mph figures at those times though.

s60 R, Mazdaspeed6, and new SHO rivalry! just hope the SHO doesn't get challenged to a race through a turn

Mazda, Volvo, and SHO rivalry, sounds like a cops least favorite call, domestic dispute.:angelnot:

109 does seem very high. I think something such as 100-105mph is more like it.

109 is similar to what the previous gen CTS-V does with RWD a 6mt and 400hp.

Also, the Charger SRT-8 runs a low 13 at around 109.

Its not realistic to think a 4000lb+awd auto car will run 109 in the 1/4 mile.

I guess we could let the S Type R's in if they are nice to us.

Folks, let's not forget that manufacturers have a somewhat storied history of... shall we say, somewhat under-rating their engines. I would not be surprised if the SHO actually puts out a bit more than 365hp...

Folks, lets not forget that we are all GUESSING and NOBODY knows for sure what the SHO will run until a it gets fully tested by multiple organizations.

If the guy did it with a G-Tech, they produce traps speeds 4-5 mph high on cars in this ET range. They measure differently than at the dragstrip.

That is what I was trying to say originally. The 109mph does not make much sense when all of the facts are laid out.

Either way, 105mph would be amazing. :omgsho: I am just worried about the transmission.

As much as I'm waiting on the SHO to come out and real numbers are available, I would count the Gtech for crap.
